12:45Job Responsibilities
- The pharmacist will be responsible for checking prescriptions to ensure that there are no errors, provide advice to doctors on drug availability, dosage and administration, dispensing medications after ensuring that they are appropriate and safe for the individual patient, properly packaging and labelling of the medications and providing medication education and counselling to patients.
- S/he will occasionally participate in ward rounds, taking patient drug histories and be involved in making decisions on appropriate treatments which will also involve discussing treatments with patients' relatives. S/he will be required to ensure that all medicines are stored appropriately and securely.
- The pharmacist may also be required to assist in writing guidelines for drug use within the hospital and implementing hospital regulations. The incumbent will be expected to develop the hospital staff's pharmacological knowledge by participating in mentoring & training programs.>>>>>>>Jobs in Kenya - PHARMACIST
